Our Kitty Transfer Program
We are facing a severe cat overpopulation problem in Hawai'i: there are too many cats, and not enough people to adopt them. The cats are suffering, and causing devastation to local ecosystems.
We are combatting this by relocating adoptable cats to the mainland where they will have a better chance of adoption.
If you or someone you know is traveling to Hawai'i, consider transporting a rescued kitty back with you to be adopted.
All costs are covered and supplies are provided by us!
How It Works
01
Submit an Application
Have room for a furry carry-on? Send us your flight details! Many airlines allow pets to fly in-cabin.
All we need is your flight info: airline, date of travel, time, number of passengers, etc.
03
Flying with your Kitty Companion
On the day of your departure from the island, we will bring your feline travel companion to you at the airport with all necessary supplies. All you have to do is fly with the cat as your carry-on item under your seat.
02
Approval
If approved, we will contact you to coordinate the details of traveling with a rescue cat. All costs will be covered by Katie's Kittenz and all supplies (cat carriers, food, etc.) will be provided.
04
Arrival Home
Prior to your departure, we will have a foster/adoptive home scheduled for your travel kitty. They will pick the cat up from you at the airport upon arrival.
